AMCA board members

Founder
Ben Veeneman
Founder and spiritual father of the AMCA. Ben switched from his R/C controlled airmodelling hobby to R/C car racing for reason of his son Jeroen. Already at very joung age, his son was obsessed by everything that had wheels, so a beginning was made with an R/C racing car. (For the full story see AMCA history). Ben and his wife Tineke have formed the AMCA to a leading R/C car racing club. Ben is from 2004 onwards no longer active as chairman, but at the background he is still very close involved with the AMCA. Ben and Tineke are currently enjoying their life with their children and grandchildren.

Chairman
Vacancy. If you want to apply for this job, please report to the Secretary.

Treasurer
John Langen
Co-founder in 1980 of the AMCA. In the first years active as general board member and starting from 1997 until today as Treasurer. Besides this I take care of the members administration and coordinate the technical maintainance of the track. I do this by full surrendering, so that there is just insufficient time for racing by myself. In the first 7 years of the AMCA, I was a dedicated stockcar driver, together with my son. I am married with Joke and we have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. In the past I have been working as mechanica draftsman/engineer, chief of a machine producing factory, and since a few years as technisch advisor at Bosschart Grafische Machinehandel BV in Apeldoorn.

Secretary
Richard Engbersen
At the AMCA I take care of all secretarial items, work in the race control board, and take care of the maintenance of this website. I am married with Nina, we have a son of 9 years old named Rico and we live in Almelo. I work at a Dutch Tyre Manufacturer, mainly being responsible for the production of 2-wheeler tyres at our production locations in the far east. Besides of that I work now and then at other middle-/ and far east projects for other product groups. In the past I was a fanatic Stockcar driver, and my best result was a 6th position at the European championship. After that I spent a lot of time airmodelling with airplanes and helicopters at Dutch championship level. In 2005 I have started racing 1/8 scale.

General board member
Rob Stuart
Since December 1994 I have been member of the AMCA. When my son Rick, then only 5 years old, started to play with a Nikko RC car, I discovered a world of serious RC-car racing. I started with the F102 Tamiya, at that time a very popular F1 class at AMCA and with the National Championships (NOMAC). A few years later we chose for Largescale 1/5. Besides racing, I was in several administrative functions within both AMCA and acted as the President within the NOMAC. Outside the AMCA I am father of three children and "sponsor" of my wife with her nine horses. To coop with that financially I work as a director for a European sales organisation selling memory chips.

General board member
Cees van Dijken
I am general board member general at the AMCA, besides that that I am also one of the race control board guys and I also do the race control coordination. I live with my wife and two children in the “Betuwe”. I am operative as a representative at a distributor in car materials in Tiel. I have started model car racing a very long time ago and several years ago I have picked it up again with an Electro stock. Soon my son and daughter found it very nice to drive as well. My son still drives and I am more busy with repairing and from time to time I drive by myself. And of course I fulfil my task within the AMCA board with much pleasure.

General board member
Huub van der Leeuw
At AMCA I am general board member, besides that I am also one of the race control board guys. I am married with Karin and we have a daughter Sabine who is almost 3 years, and live in Almelo. I am operative at TQC, a company that provides instruments in the coating industry. I started my RC hobby back in 1979, as I lived in Rotterdam, which is surrounded by lots of water, with model boats. During winter times there were some RC car driving activities in the Gym with Tamiya cars. In 2001 I became a member of AMCA, and started with 1:5 Largescale cars, and participate since 2003 in the 1:10 Electro class. I hope to be still years remaining, with much pleasure, member of a good equipped club, the AMCA.
